The easiest way I've ever done it is to simply email myself the Word document as an attatchment.  Then I go into the Mail app and click on the attatchment.  It will give me the option to import the document into Pages from there.

I believe Pages will open Word docs without converting them or anything.

Let me know if I helped :)

    Hi alikazime,

Log in to your iCloud account, if you have one, then upload the document to the Pages tab. iCloud can handle MS Office documents.

Open Pages point it to iCloud, double click that Word document it will open as a Pages document. Please be aware that converting from one format to another may not be perfect. In fact opening a Word document within different version of MS Office on Windows may have text and graphics move around.

    Cordially,

    RicD
