Q: trying to migrate office MAC 2011 software: old mac mini to new mac mini
I used the migration assistant to move all files and applications over to the new mac mini. All seems to be fine except the Office software (for MAC). There is no DVD on new mac mini, so I cannot install from disc. When I try to open Office apps like excel on new mac mini, I am asked to enter product key. When I enter product key there is an error. It seems to want the disc, which I cannot provide because there is no drive. I bought a disc for multiple users so the product key should work. Other software such as Quickbooks was successfully migrated, so I wonder what the problem is with the Office software.
The old mac mini has snow leopard and the new mac mini has mountain lion (I think 10.8.2 maybe 10.8.1)
