You shouldn't really need to do anything in order to get it to work, as long as the iPad and the printer are connected to the same wifi network and the printers firmware is up-to-date : AirPrint 101.

Does your printer comes with a CD?
You usually use a CD to help you setup the network printer; you need to send the SSID and password to your printer otherwise it will not be on the same network.
