Q: iPod touch 2nd gen will not upgrade iOS?

iPod 2nd gen will not upgrade the iOS 4.2.1 any higher which is needed to run apps that used to work great. Is my iPod just a paper weight now?

    No.  Your ipod can be used to listen to music, access e-mail, access internet, use apps that only require 4.2.1 or lower and other features.  All of the same things it has always done - with the exception of the apps that no longer support 4.2.1 (unless you kept a copy of the old version of the app.
