Apple actually lowered the price from $499 to $199, so it is pretty much what the old upgrade price was.

$199 is for Logic Pro, not Logic Studio.  That's $499.  I'm in the same boat.  I've got Logic Studio 8 but it won't run on my new MacBook Pro.  NOw they want me to pay full boat again?  That doesn't seem fair. To get MainStage you need to fork over another $30.  Not  sure what else isn't included - Waveburner, maybe some of the sound library.

    You buy what you want:

    Logic Pro $199

    MainStage $29

    Compressor $49

Logic Pro and MainStage both contain all JamPacks. WaveBurner and Soundtrack Pro seems end-of-life, they havn't seen any - even minor - update or fix in a very long time.
