    Hey Guys,

Just had  the same problem, and resolved it without calling,  had this questions asked and had no idea what to do, frustated after all said here...

    Solution for my case:

Purchased an app  through iTunes.. it went fine with no questions, then my iphone knew there was a new app purchased online, and it downloaded it, then i could make purchases again through my phone.

I haven't reset my questions but i can make purchases now.

    Hope this helps.

Hi, I tried doing that but when I went to Password and Security there was not a link asking me if I have forgot the answers for the questions. I don't know what to do.

Hi.  I spent the last week in an endless loop w/ Apple about the forgotten security question issue.  Finally had it resolved today!  Hooray. Here is what I did:  First, I emailed for help and was sent a link to get a call back.  Apple security called, but would not help me because I had not set up a "rescue email" account (in 2004!), nor did I have a credit card linked to my account.  I also did not have the serial numbers of all my devices with me at that time.  So, in the meantime, I went to "manage my account" and added a credit card.  I collected serial numbers for all the iPods in my house (teenagers!).  Then I sent another email asking for help, was able to schedule a call again, and instead of asking me for answers I didn't know, they verified me through the credit card and the serial numbers, and sent me to the appleid page to reset my questions.

Hope this helps someone out there.  For all the great products that Apple makes, one would think that they would back them up with less onerous procedures.

    Take care!

My son had this same problem months ago on his account and still hasn't gotten it straightened out despite emails and online contact with Apple support.

Now I have the same problem with my account.  We just replaced our iPad.  I restored it from a backup and now it's asking me for answers to security questions that I don't believe I ever provided answers for to begin with (does Apple just generate these randomly?).

I login online to the site, go to Password and Security where I see two questions for which I have no idea what the answers are, so, I select "Forgot your answers? Send reset security info email to ..." ;  Interesting thing is the readable portion of the email fragment displayed with this selection is incorrect, and, when I select it, I receive no email.  I've even checked spam filters - nothing.  And the email in my account setup is fine, because I do receive other emails associated with the account.

Apple:  Get it together - This is ridiculous and disappointing. obviously this is your problem - fix it!  Keep it up and you will succeed at eroding and eventually losing your hard-earned and loyal customer base.

I have the same problem since I bought the Ipad mini. A totally bizar situation. I offered apple security to send a copy of my passport, after I was unable to answer the Q&A.

I also exchanged some emails with the helpdesk, I think I was mailing with the human version of Siri cause I didn't get anywhere.

Well I refuse to start using my credit card, so if that is the only way to reset those Q&A's I will rather make a new apple ID.

Obvisously this thread has been going on since August 2012, it's now almost December; I think Apple could not care any less.

Any news on this ridiculous subject???

Me too, replaced my iPad and now cannot make a purchase due to these security questions. What is going on with you guys? Lost your mind? Not to worry, you will see a nice decline in sales and if you wonder why, then take a couple of minutes reading this thread. Idiots.

This is super easy.... Add a credit/debit card to your account that you can verify and call apple -_-..... Ask to speak to YOUR COUNTRIES ACCOUNT SECURITY TEAM. THEY WILL VERIFY 2 pieces of info and like magic its done just follow the instructions they give you
