Hi,

Just today, I opened up a document in Pages and the document comes up blank, at the bottom the word count is still there: 1,300 words but the text is invisible, ive tried all my other documents that is saved in the pages format and they are all invisible too.

Anyway, i researched this and people were saying you need to update Pages. I went to apps store to update pages, it says 'update' so i clicked it and then it states' sign in with the Apple Id you used to purchase this'. I only have one apple id and i was already signed in with it! I think when i first bought my macbook, pages was the first app i bought and i accidentally deleted it from 'purchase history'!

I don't know what to do, if i was to uninstall pages, re-install it would i have to pay again?

Hope you can help

Thanks.

What version of Pages & OS X are you using? Without that information it's impossible to pinpoint a cause & fix.

Menu > Apple > About this Mac

    and

Menu > Pages > About Pages

    will tell the version numbers.

It sound like you are using Mountain Lion and that you need to delete the font cach. That can be done several ways. Try restarting the computer and when you her the chime press the Shift key untill you see a bar appearing (no not the one with liquor!) . Log in and try Pages again. If all is well restart again.

A little restart of any computer does prevent a lot of bad things to happen!
