I don't use Time Machine but I am surprised that you cannot simply delete them.
How are they identified? Can you see which laptop each backup relates to?
Alternatively you should eventually see which ones are no longer active and be able to delete on a date basis.

The solution is that NAS drives can be administered via a browser. Entering thier IP address into a browser launches an admin. window that allows simple removal of the entire backup of a given machine.
Several other respondents suggested simply drag 'n dropping them to the Trash, but this is problematic due to the filesizes involved.
