...has disappeared since I got Mountain Lion

    In which app?

     

    In Preview, for example, hold an Option key whilst selecting its File menu. The "Duplicate" menu option will change to "Save As...".

    That works with Pages also.

     

    The background philosophy is that Mountain Lion employs the additional option of "Revert To..." in the File menu. This does not fit into many people's workflow though, since they have become accustomed to years of using the familiar "Save As...".


    I'm still getting used to it.

     

    You can also "Duplicate" a Pages document from its File menu, so that you can essentially leave the original version untouched.

    Hi DanMartin,

     

    Not really my idea. It came from here. After playing around with it for a while, I discovered it was not only unnecessary to assign Duplicate to another keystroke, but was actually better not to.
