I have the same issue over here. It was working fine before upgrading to IOS6. I just turned it off then turned on and I lost the activation. I tried many times to reset the network settings, but in vane.

My imessage stopped working on my iphone, but still works on my mac (mountain lion) and iPad (iOS 5). I tried to reset (delete and re-add my phone number to the account) and now it says it's sending a verification email to my phone number, thinking it's an email!!
So no imessages or Facetime on my iphone... Any ideas?

I have the exact same issue. everytime I try to activate imessaging on my iphone 3GS, running iOS 6, it tells me the password is incorrect for my apple ID. I use the same Apple ID for the app store and icloud and the password is correct.
To check it was an account issue and not device related, I created another apple ID, and it logs in fine. But I want to use my original apple ID so that everything stays in order.
Anyone have a clue for a solution?
I am in Saudi on Mobily network.

The only way I solved it is by creating a new Apple ID, im only using it for iMessage and FaceTime, because my orignial one has my billing info and my dad didn't allow me to reuse it

No answer yet, am losing all iMeassage's by upgrading to iOS6! So whats the solution for that?!
And the problem is I CANNOT create a new accounts in US store, because i have purcheased lots of apps?!
So any of apple stuff please, we really need you support.

Called Apple months ago, and the solution is a little convoluted but should work. Modify or update your address for your current Apple using iTunes. Once you do that, sign into Facetime and iMessages, and your current password should work.
The trick here is to update it from iTunes NOT the appleid website.
