I am an experienced apple user and have been an apple user since the 1980s, and I'm on my fourth Mac Mini which I have upgraded every so often since the original came out.   I'm very familiar with the OS and hardware.    Randomly the screen goes completely black when I'm working on the computer.   Hot corners are all turned off.   It happens with various software applications.   I have the latest OS updates.   I searched the support site and it seems others have this problem as well, and somebody even took it to the Genius Bar.   However, despite the prevalence of this problem, I haven't received word from Apple on whether a fix is in process, or what can be done.   I'm considering returning the product.   The lack of communication is a bit frustrating - they obviously know about the problem, and they know who has registered the product, so a bit of a heads up on what's going on would be nice.
