After some research and several failed attempts I am concluding that the Symbolic Link Command in the Terminal of Mac OSX 10.8.2 is broken . Can anyone confirm or deny this situation ?

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

"the Symbolic Link Command" -- I assume you are referring to the Link command with the "-s" option? I.e., ln -s? I see no evidence that it behaves abnormally in any way.

Why don't you tell us what are doing, what you are trying to do, and why you think it is not working?

I strongly recommend using iCloud for this instead.

do not know why you are not syncing calendars via internet, however if you do so it must be a reason.

    1) move your folder

    2) cd to where you want to create a link and do

    ln -s ~/Library/Calendars
