Hi all

I've borrowed a Yamaha WX11 wind controller off my brother and I'm trying to use it with the exs24.

I can get a midi signal in and it will play the alto sax in the exs24 but it doesn't have all the breath control and stuff going on.

When I play, the sound is an on/off, so I guess something's not set correctly. Is this an easy thing to set up? Is there a 'patch' out there that I can load?

Any help gratefully recieved, I am a bit of a numpty when it comes to midi though. I'm using LogicPro7 but I think the principle should be the same as recent versions?

many thanks

If I remember correctly, the controler sends cc#11 (expression) You'll have to set thereceiving instrument to respond to cc#11. On the exs, in the mod matrix set the volume to respond to cc#11 It works well to set the filter cutoff to respond as well because most winds get brighter as they get louder. Have fun.....
