My phone keeps resetting itself with the error panic.plist.  I have tried restoring factory settings but no good ?  I have also read that some people have had to get replacements from apple do you need insurance for this ?

Panic.plist's mean your iPhone has an hardware issue and will need to be replaced.

If your iPhone is still under warranty, you will be able to get it replaced free of charge at an Apple Store.
