Hi Ken, Apple included Rosetta up to 10.6.8 that ran most all PPC Apps on IntelMacs... to help the transition from PPC, (G3, G4, G5), to Intel, much the way they included "Classic" up to 10.4.11 to run OS9 Apps in emulation.
Many, Many years ago I did try OmniWeb, even tried to like it so I could justify supporting it, because I like to support independant development... but could neer get used to it, it ran fine, & IS a ggod option for older OSs for many.

Hey BDAqua, on the TFF blog, they are seriously talking about creating an Intel version of TFF, they are getting requests for it. The main TFF developer, the guy who runs the blog says he will put the info on the blog if/when such a version becomes available. Their vision is to maintain an ongoing emulation of Firefox for Tiger users, whether, it seems to me, PPC or Intel. My intuition is that they will probably come up with an Intel version of TFF. On the subject of OmniWeb, on my Core Duo iMac it runs way faster than TFF on my G5.
Off to sleep, all the best

Hey BDAqua got TFF to work on my iMac Core Duo. Here is the scenario. From my G5 I copied the Firefox 3.6.28 App Support folder to the same location on my Intel Mac (deleting the existing folder). Then I saw somewhere that TFF 8.0b1 was the version to use so I got the G4/7450 version, works great so far but after updating to the current 10.0.10 G4/7450 many problems especially scripting errors, also ran very slow, crashes, so I will just stick with version 8.0b1 see how it goes. You ought to give OmniWeb another chance, way faster, smoother than TFF (it is the Safari 5 webkit Intel), the key is the way you set up the browser preferences. So OmniWeb will be my main browser with TFF 8.0b1 as my backup. Might even try TFF 17 just to see if it works. Thanks for your input. Ken.
