macbook pro wont find my ocz ssd in disk utility

i tried upgrading my hard drive to an ssd. created a bootable drive via usb. installed ssd, partitioned it...started downloading os x lion and my macbook restarted. it wouldnt load anything, an image with a file with question mark came up. so i once again put the usb in. it came up with the install menu...clicked disk utility andtried to locate the ssd and it is nowhere to be seen?    what can i do??? someone help please

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3), late 2011 13" 2.4 Ghz
