Hi, I was trying to install Windows 7 on iMac ( mountaing lion) then during install I changed my mind and cancel the process. Now I'm stuck with (windows loading files) and OS X wont boot. Help!
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
1. Press Option key after the startup sound and choose Macintosh HD.
2. Open Boot Camp Assistant and delete the Boot Camp partition
Already tried that, it didn't help.
When you press Option key, what do you see?
nothing really! the computer keeps on running the windows CD and start loading windows file, then it goes to "starting windows" and freezes there.
Press the mouse when your computer starts to eject your DVD. Then, turn off your computer, turn on again and press Option key after the startup sound. If it doesn't work, try with a wired keyboard
Clicking the mouse didn't help too. I don't have a wired keybord at the moment
Can I just push the eject button on the keybord to eject the CD?
Try to press it. Press Command and R keys and install Mountain Lion
I managed to eject the CD, rebooted and pressed option buton. Now it says "No bootable device insert boot disk
It worked finally!! thank you very much
