Hi everyone... I'm new user of Mac book...
I thought there is an OS X set up CD in the box... but no where...
Mac book doesn't include OS X set up CD? then, What should I do when my mac book is needed to format?
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
Now, Macs use Internet Recovery to reinstall Mac OS X and do other things if you can't start Mac OS X > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
If it originally shipped with Mac OS X 10.7 or newer, there's a recovery partition instead; press Option at startup to access it. If not, phone Apple and order an install DVD.
Thank you so much guys!!!
I have other questions.. When I use reinstall Mac OS X program, my all date is gonna be removed?
And can I download Mac OS X from apple website?
1. You will keep all the files when you reinstall OS X unless you erase the drive.
2. Internet Recovery will download OS X from the App Store, but only OS X updates can be downloaded from Support website
Although mende1 is correct that your files should be preserved during OSX installation I strongly suggest that you backup first, the word that matters here is 'should'
Things go wrong sometimes.
