follow previos link. And under the list of macs that work it says (whick mac do I have) and follow instructions. Or on the top left there is an apple. Click it. then click about this mac. Now click on more info. then system report. There you will see model identifier. Now what MBpro you need you need you have to  to google it or what to see if ithers will reply BC I do not know

I think it should say this

    Early 2011 Model ID: MacBookPro8,2

    OS: 10.8.2 Mountain Lion

OS number may be higher after newer updates

    You have one of these

    MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011)MacBookPro8,1

    MD314xx/A

    MD313xx/A

    13.3"/2.8 i7/2x2GB/750-5400

    13.3"/2.4 i5/2x2GB/500-5400

    MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011)MacBookPro8,1MC700xx/A13.3"/2.7 i7/2x2GB/500-5400
    MC724xx/A13.3"/2.3 i5/2x2GB/320-5400

sorry to say you need 10.8.X. mac os version. You are running Lion and you have MB pro 8,1 not 8,2. As far as I know you need 8,2 with MT lion. Did you buy it just before the new ones came out? IF so You may still be able to do it by getting MT lion. I would check with an apple store BC you may/or were able to get it for free if you bought it 30 or 14 days before the release date. By now you may have to pay for it.

    Sorry for the bad news
