I have TIme Capsule connected to Time Warner IP Modem - it serves as base station for my wireless network.  I want to extend the network to my Airport Extreme and connect my DVD player and Direct TV receiver to the Ethernet ports on the Airport Extreme.  Time Capsule has firmware 7.6.1 and so does the Airport Extreme -  the Airport Extreme does not get a valid IP address and is sitting about 5 feet from the TC for testing purposes.  I do not see an option on the TC settings to set " make this network extendable". I do have the Airport Extreme set to "extend a wireless network" and it is setup on the same wireless wifi that my TC hosts.  Airport Extreme reports a yellow dot on the Extended Network - saying it cannot extend the network.  Airport extreme shows a green dot against the Internet connection but yellow dots aon the Extended Network and no DNS Servers - against its status.  It shows a IP address that is  The TC shows a LAN IP address of

Time Capsule is setup on 802.11a/n -201.11b/g/n (automatic).

Can some one offer a clue on how to further troubleshoot this problem?
