Nov 22, 2012 6:08 AM in response to DrNoirby ArmyWife0423,Mine's disabled as well and I've tried to do what was suggested to undos able it with no luck. I think my CC # was hacked because yes I'll spend a few bucks here and there, but there's over $200 worth of charges on my back account! I make sure I don't spend anywhere near that so I'll be calling to handle this with my bank and them because its absolutely ridiculous. I only do $0.99 and $1.99 things here and there so over $200 worth of charges is outrageous.

Nov 27, 2012 2:56 PM in response to DrNoirby babeins,I highly suggest calling Apple Care: (800) APL-CARE (800-275-2273) Just did this and yes, did have a small wait time, but it was so worth it. Apple id is enabled now and I can download. They simply ask some questions to verify that it's really your account and device. Then they send you to IT who helps by sending you an email with a link to change your id and then you are done. Easy peasy!!

i came to this forum several months ago because i had called Apple care several times with no solution. I was sent to the Express Lane and went that route two or three times, but no matter what i did, i couldn't get a rep who would or could help me. They asked me security questions which i answered correctly but they asked me the last 4 digits of my credit card number and it wasn't the one i have now. i had no clue which card it was, most likely it was an old debit card that had suspicious activity on it that i had to replace, i can only guess because it had been two or three years since i registered the password and Apple ID. That email they sent you is the same email you can get for yourself by going to the Apple support site and clicking on some links about resetting your password. I did that many times but the link in the email would not work, and the reps i talked to, probably about 5 or so of them over several weeks, could not help with the problem, they didn't even try. Finally, a few weeks ago, i called them again and i got a rep who seemed confident i could be helped, he transferred me to the higher tier, and that guy showed that he was not going to give up. He kept trouble shooting the email link problem until he figured it out and was able to help me reset my password. But it took months and many reps. it wasn't so easy peasy.

Dec 4, 2012 5:00 PM in response to GrumpyGatorby mhog,That has not worked for me - both options:
a) re-setting password. That didn't do a thing. Also changed payment method (original method had a double charge that I'm still waiting to be refunded). Still nothing.
b) going through express lane. That didn't work so much primarily because I haven't heard from anyone.

Dec 4, 2012 5:11 PM in response to mhogby amoryfrombc,Using express lane, you should get an email. Click on the link in the email, then you should get a phone call.

Dec 4, 2012 8:11 PM in response to jaw444by KianaDarkrose,Not every situation is so "easy peasy", but this is a lesson learned by many. It's VITAL to make sure guys that you are keeping your information up to date in both iTunes on your account and through appleid.apple.com.

Dec 5, 2012 9:36 AM in response to amoryfrombcby mhog,Never got the phone call, so found a number and called it myself. 28 minutes on hold to speak to someone then another 13 for him to figure it out, but everything is up & working again.
