Time Capsule Problem

Dear Community,

 

I have a Time Capsule with 2TB of storage. It's the latest version of the TC and is up to date.

In the beginning the TC worked perfectly and did its job. But at the moment it doesn't do its job that good anymore.

Anytime I try to copy data to my TC, it either looses the connection or it just doesn't copy the data on the hard drive.

First I thought it was just slow but I even tried to transfer 10GB of data over night. It didn't loose connection but it didn't transfer at all.

 

It would be nice if someone has a solution for my problem.

 

And the TC is in default settings.

I use Mountain Lion 10.8.2.

    Time Capsule in the past has had many problems with failing hard drives. This is likely what has happened, and I would recommend that you call Apple to confirm that this is the issue, and so they can send you a replacement Time Capsule. Even if Time Capsule is out of warranty, explain that it is unacceptable for a product like this to fail after such a short time, and that they should replace the product for you.     So I tried some things and found out:

     

    I can read all the files on the TC: music, movies etc. everything can be played.

    I can also copy duplicate files on the TC.

    Transferring files from the TC to my Mac also works (1 GB took 7 minutes)

    but from my mac or another hard drive to the TC just doesn't work -.-
