In finder I have a shared computer listed that I did not allow.  How do I remove this?

I think this is a bug. There are numerous other threads running on this topic, and none have ever been resolved fully. The best you can do is untick bonjour computers in Finder preferences. This hides the shared computer from Finder, but does not really fix the problem.

It took some time for me to find a solution but I found it here: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-10355803-263.html. In short: the list with the links is stored in the "com.apple.sidebarlists.plist" preference file in your /username/Library/Preferences/ folder and can be edited with a property list (plist) editor (I used Xcode which can be downloaded for the apple site in a development package).
