I have read discussions on how to remove your credit card because I recently deactivated it, however supposedly there is a "None" option to press to take your credit card off, however it does not appear on my computer. I live in the united states. please help

Well you see it gets to the point when someone answers/asks a question that has already been answered it gets very frustrating. Don't start a fight here, now go this is a forum for CC details nothing else

I've been able to remove my CC info under any circumstances. No time limits or anything else.

Sorry, but that is not possible. You might have changed your CC info, but you cannot remove it once it has been there for alloted time period you are given to remove it.

Hello, so again I have tryied all suggestions on how to remove a card from the accout and nothing works. On top of it if you call support you have to send an email to get avaible time to talk with a live person WOW. Here is my story. Set up Iphone 4, later decided to purchase one app for $2.98 and then the next day my credit card was frauded for hundreds of dollars. I did not understand way the option is not there to delete card or way Apple can not stand behind their name and have this stopped. When is it enough? I have tryed going online to delete as well. I am more upset their is not a better support all the way around. And for the cell phone carriers that sell these types of phones to public also will not offer support. Gotta like the third party companies. Just thought I would share this story.

Yes, it is frustrating but it seems the only solution is to create a new apple ID and if you don't want to use your credit card on the account you can just buy itunes/appstore gift cards in real life with your card and do it that way, that is what I do

There are no instructions for removing credit card info in that article.  However, it does tell you how to view account information and such.

Not sure how you were able to remove it unless you were still under the 48 hour window or the card was expired.

"None" option was NOT there -- however, our 8-year old had overdrawn our CC account with his purchases, so our balance was Red.

We input a different CC, thus paying for the owed amount, and BAM - the "None" option then appeared.

Naturally, we immediately changed our payment option to "None".

He can only use Gift Cards from now on. = )

Account is DEFINITELY older than 48 hours - more like 2 years old account. So a lot of the info in this thread, although an interesting read, is not right.

If you would read correctly, it was stated that any changes to the account payment information, such as adding a new card would allow the 48 hour window to open up again.  One situation when new payment information is added is when a new account is set up, thus opening up a 48 hour window to choose the None payment option.

I never said it depended on the age of the account alone.

Like what planb said, it doesn't depend on the age of the account

Thanks Damnzig, while some people want to insist that you do not know what you are talking about, your information helped me. Once Ifinally went in through my itunes account and followed your steps I was able to take my credit card out. So yes, you can remove a card!
