Hey all, remember I was saying I was getting great batery life today for some unknown reason..
after streaming bluetooth audio to and from work today (25 minutes each way), and playing maybe an hour worth of games, checking lots of email and facebook, instagram, etc... lots of regular usage.. here is my end result.. for the first time since i got the phone I've got over 8 hours standby time.. and decent usage!
I really hope it stays this way...
it's only on wifi for the screenshot, just got in the house... i was on 3G all day, LTE disabled.

That pretty good battery life... Was it heavy usage? because that usage chart is not alway accurate. Depends on how much you were actuall using the phone via.... browsing, calls, text etc... cause music playback obviously drains much less battery but still shows the same amount of usage. And if you were on LTE the whole time, def good usage

It was pretty heavy usage, Wifi browsing, text all day, lte on the road. LTE was definitely on the whole day though. I have friends that are getting 9hrs usage. Im guessing it's with music playback.

Im happy you got your iphone working but Ive tried all of those (except disable safari, I am not willing to disable a critical application) numerous times with no luck. Also, is that in chronological order? i.e. you restored your phone, then deleted icloud, then reset everything etc?
ADvice i followed but domt know which if not all that worked:
* Restore as NEW phone
* deleted icloud
* reset everything in reset
* deleted email acct then re-activated it
* disabled safari (theres dozens of other free browsers)
* clear background apps regularly
* REPLACED case

You can't really fault them for removing posts about that particular subject but, at the same time, if someone is monitoring enough to delete those posts that quickly then it is abundantly clear that they see the amount of traffic generated by this issue and probably have a good idea of how many out there are suffering with it. My suggestion, besides the deleted post, is to call support and file a formal fault. I will be doing so tonight. Then I will decide whether or not I keep this phone as I'm now back to same lousy battery performance I was getting two weeks ago. Apple, since you are obviously monitoring this forum, you should make an official statement or take our UDIDs, give us access to the beta builds, and let us test any fixes you have in store. Beta testing over a large field of users would have found this and nipped it in the bud. Instead, you have a growing number of irate users ready to never buy another product again because of all of the ill will the silence on this issue is causing. This isn't isolated. This forum has abundantly proven that. Please Apple, do the RIGHT THING and at least make a statement in here that you know of the issue and are working towards a fix. That is the very LEAST that should be done. I prefer the UDID proposal as we are more than willing to help solve the issue in any way that we can but patience is bordering on gone now.

My battery is doing okay with about 24 hours of standby and light usage. At 22%. Trick- don't ever open safari. I just wish I could make chrome my default browser so that I could click on links. Right now if I open safari, I close it and then do a total reset of the phone to help perserve the battery. I also have icloud turned off for safari. I have noticed a drastic difference since taking these incovenient steps. This glitch needs to be fixed or let us set another browser as our default. I am going to drain the battery to 0 and then do a complete recharge and hopefully then my phone will give me exact usage and standby time.

very well said ;-) they SHOULD focus their energy and resources to 1# fix this issue 2# at least aknowledge the issue and make a statement.(either a fix if its software related or a replacement phone if hardware related)if this isnt a widespread problem shouldnt be too expensive for a company rich enough to buy some countries right?
still seems a little strange that scott forstall gets fired for mapps :-s a major ios6 f*-up seems more likely to me :p
