After installing iOS 6, my home button doesn't always work and I have to press it multiple times. How do I revert to the previous IOS?

iPad 2, iOS 6

I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums, but you can use Google to find information on how to install an older version of iOS on any iDevice.

Yes, but you can't restore iOS 5. That's not in your backup.

How do you restore a machine that iOSx if it's not installed on your backup?

The OS is downloaded to your machine, not restored from backup. Only your stuff is backed up.

I understand that part, but if the iOSx went south on you how would you retore it.Is it like the new Mac's that have hidden partition that you can restore the OSX from?

It can be just as easily restored downloading it through iTunes. iOS can download itself regardless if the OS goes south just as you do the same thing with Lion and Mountain Lion. If the device, however, does not work at all, then you take it in and purchase a replacement.

    Thank you for the clarification.
