Safari has crashed for the 4th time today. Is there any reason I should keep trying to use this POS? Should I just give up on it and use Chrome or Firefox instead?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

    First, disable these:

    com.betafish.adblockforsafari-UAMUU4S2D9 (102.5.46 - 2.5.46) AdBlock

    com.agilebits.onepassword-safari-2BUA8C4S2C (39999 - 3.9.9) 1Password

    com.betteradvertising.ghostery-HPY23A294X (9 - 1.4.1) Ghostery

    com.evernote.safari.clipper-Q79WDW8YH9 (5.7 - 5.7) Evernote Web Clipper

The last I checked, Ghostery was not compatible with ML.  And there have been reports that it may cause crashing on Safari 6.0

If after these are turned off (Under Extensions in your Safari Preferences) you still crash, You also have clairesoft FolderX on there.  I would delete that for now, and test again.  Let us know how you're doing, OK?

Ghostery works fine with Safari 6.0.2 in ML for me.

That's great, Linc.  Are you on 10.8.2?  Because my Ghostery was put in the "Incompatible Apps" folder.

Ghostery was put in the "Incompatible Apps" folder.

That's news to me. I didn't know that Safari extensions were checked for compatiblity by the installer.

You are most welcome to your opinions.

This is an app that I had on here, and liked very much.  Things did not work well after 10.8, as I remember.

Because we're all supposed to check our responses here, I have reinstalled it.  It's the same version that Jim has. We'll see how it goes.

    You're Welcome, Jim!

I had to leave mine off too.  It really messes with videos from CNN, etc.

    Glad you're all sorted.
