HELP!!! Pages won't open my documents. In the sidebar there is a preview of my document for half a second, then it goes black. The actual document itself is blank (white) and I can't copy/paste or type anything into it.

I already uninstalled and reinstalled. I did this by deleting the app, then "secure empty trash," and then downloading again from the Mac App Store.

Sounds like you have failed to update to the latest version (v4.2) after upgrading to OSX 10.7 or OSX 10.8.

Have you by any chance just opened a blank Layout document?

Can you open and view one of the regular Word Processing or Newsletter templates and view the content?

But are you using Lion 10.7.4 or 10.7.5 or Mountain Lion 10.8.2? Make sure you have updated to the latest version of Mac OS you are using & then run Disk Utility to repair permissions.

Restart the computer in Safe mode by when you hear the starting chime you press the Shift key. Keep it pressed until you see a bar on the screen. Log in and test Pages. If it now works you can restart again in normal mode.
