Hi folks,

I'm wondering how to adjust the fade in and out effect for animated titles. I've read that Apple says, this is not possible, but in one of their trailers it is. Here's the problem in detail:

I want to create an effect similar to the blockbuster trailer where the first title fades in and out (I guess they're using the Zoom-Title effect for that). Now I want my title to pop in without fading and then fade out again. How do I do that?

I've noticed that, when I convert the blockbuster-trailer into a project, the title overlapses with the transition effect before and after the black screen clip. Here I can easily pull the title to start with the black screen and it will pop in and fade out.

However, when I insert a black screen before that and pull only the title over it, the fade in and out are lost! Even if I try to add a transition after the black screen and have the title end with that transition, it won't fade out. Anyone an idea why?

If anyone wants to know why I'm trying to create the effect in such a complicated way and am not simply creating the title manually: I want to keep the grey-textured colour of the text. It might be helpful to know how to create that manually.

Thank you :-)
