I will be returning my iPhone 4 to Apple in exchange for a new one being shipped. The problem is that the display went blank, and all efforts to restore it have failed. The phone is still functional in every other way, but obviously I access it to answer a call or to erase contents. I have just re-synced it with the desktop. When the new phone comes I intend to sync it right away with my iTunes on the desktop. Once I have done that, how can I erase the one I am replacing prior to shipping it to Apple? I am concerned I might 'lose' what is in/on the iTunes in the desktop. Thanks for any guidance.
