I have not seen that problem reported yest in this forum.
I would make an appointment at the Genbius Bar of an Apple store.

I do not have an Apple store close to me. I have read on the iPhone 5 some others with the same problem. It ***** but did get better with the addition of a cheap screen protector. Maybe the cling on plastic fixed the touch sensitivity somehow!!
I really don't want to send my iPod away. I love it more than the old touch 2nd gen I have.

I have the same problem got some feedback from the iPhone 5th generation reg. the same issues...it was suggested to do a restore.. Im planning to do it tomorrow...hope it will solve the problem.. I have a screen protector, and it does not make diff. one way or the other.. again a couple of people had results by doing a restore. go to your safari and look in your bookmarks.. there you will find the instructions on how to do a restore

Do a restore already! I guess I could try that. No harm, eh? Weird how that could do anything with the screen?
It was very strange how the screen protector I put on seemed to help mine. Maybe just a coincidence....I don't know.
Let me know if your restore worked? Thanks.

I wonder if I should do the upgrade to iOS 6.0.1? I am leary about updates but maybe this could fix the screen issue?

Try it. I seems to have resolved some problems with iOS 6.

Did it work?
I am having problems with screen sensitivity but I find it only apparent under settings -> airplane mode and/or wifi. This leads me to believe its not the screen but those specific functions.

Hello tinafromcanada! Nothing worked for me as of yet. I upgraded to 6.0.1 and did a restore still same small issues. You are right about it being mostly the Airplane mode area. It is funny!!
I am in Canada too by the way.

I've noticed this, too. I have new iPod touch 5th generation. Where I find it troublesome is in something like Contacts or Music. When I am looking for a contact or a song and the list of letters A-Z shows up on the right hand side, I have a to tap a letter several times before I get any response. I wasn't sure if this was a hardware or software problem, or if the letters are so small that my finger hits too many at one time. Then I noticed that when I am relaxing with a game of Solitaire, the cards along the right edge of the screen often won't respond on the first tap. I am curious about this, too. Otherwise I am pretty happy with my new iPod.

I am going to assume it is the iPod screen and not software!! Mine still frustrates me!! I might try a stylus for fun but it is annoying. I am not upgrading to iOS 7 because I hate the looks of it!! Too much like all the rest of the smart phones..etc. I like the classic iPod touch look.
