This is most often due to faulty battery, but since also not when connected to computer worries me that it is also faulty charging port. First step would be to clean the iPhone charging port with clean toothbrush and small amount of Isopropyll Alcohol. See if better. If still problem, and there is Warranty or AppleCare make Genius reservation and take to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, I would consider battery and charging port assembly with flex replacement. Both are less than $10 parts so which to replace first is toss up, however battery is very easy to replace.
