Q: iMessage auto correct

Does auto correct work for other people in iMessage? It seems like mine works for one message out of 50. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to Edit> Spelling and Grammar, make sure that "Check Spelling While Typing," "Check Grammar with Spelling," and "Correct Spelling Automatically." This solves the problem for me!

Also go to Edit> Substitutions, and select "Text Replacement." for example I added that "i" be changed to "I."

    Hope this helps!

    Should read...

Also go to Edit> Substitutions, and select "Text Replacement." This changes anything you set under system preferences in the language and text section. For example I added that "i" be changed to "I."

    Hi,

They are referring to the Edit Menu > then the Spelling choices.

Of course this only works (Dark text) when a Chat window is "Front"

In Messages this is the main Message window with an Active Chat.

I know this is an old post. Just wanted to say thank you anyway. Used it today after much aggravation. Happy camper!
