I have a two year old iMac. Ever since I installed Mountain Lion, I cannot maintain a consistent wifi connection. I have tried everything suggested. The only thing that works is if I go into the system configuration folder and delete all of the the network files and restart. This give me connection for a few minutes and then it goes out. My iMac doesn't show any other networks. Yesterday, I took it to an apple store. After twenty minutes or so, they told me my airport card needed to be replaced. This doesn't seem right to me. Has anyone else been told the same thing? I find it awfully coincidental that my wifi card needs to be replaced at exactly the same time I upgraded to Mountain Lion. I really don't want to shell out $100 for them to replace the wifi card. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
