Hey All,

I purchased a paid app from the App Store and Apple placed an extra amount as Authorization of my card.

I totally understand that the authorization placed was part of apple's policy. I used a Debit Card for the purchase and it is 10 days now since I purchased the app..

When i contacted apple for reverting the payment, they asked me to contact my bank. The bank authorities told me that apple never released the authorization request.

Could you please help me out!!!

Unfortunately, you are not addressing Apple here - these are user to user forums and we can help with technical questions, but not with purchase or billing problems. You will need to address this with the store unfortunately. Has the amount for authorization actually been deducted from your bank account? And has another amount been deducted for the purchase? If not, then the authorization may be the only charge - just guessing.

Contact your bank; that is the only thing I can think of to suggest - as I said, we are just fellow users and cannot provide help for this type of problem.

As it is a debit card, the bank would be responsible for taking back that payment from Apple.    That they can do this is probably one of the reasons Apple do not generally accept debit cards (at least any more).   Persist with your bank.   Apple do say that a small amount as an authorisation check will be taken with a new account, then refunded within a few days.
