As Al says, those editors aren't designed to work with PR.
If all you need is to deliver in PR, then purchasing Comressor (or Motion) will give you access to PR and a few other codecs – to which you could transcode as need be.

You simply unpack the PRORES CODEC PACKAGE with a free 'unpacking' utility, drop the codecs in the QUICKTIME LIBRARY, and *presto*, they're available for both FCE and my older FCP.
Extremely simple. And yes, I can render in all versions of 4:2:2 with both of these "non-certifed 422" programs.
Now, is there anything "illegal" or "immoral" about this ... (besides the fact that this information is well-hidden) ...?
