I'm very interested to know how the 'Version numbering for books" works. I know technically (at least from what I've heard) the ISBN is for the first version of the book. If you were to change it, will it require a new ISBN? Or will it just simply update the copy on the iTunes / iBooks Store.
I really hope we don't need a new ISBN every time we update our books!

The update is supposed to not require a new ISBN, but would send a notification to users using iBooks 3.0 that an update to the book is available.
I uploaded an new version of our book last night and it shows the "original" book and the new version in iTunes Connect under the same book. However, it says that it requires action from me, but no where to do anytning. It seems that they're not quite ready for handling this yet.

I am receiving the same notice...requiring a written decription of what the update contains, but I am unable to find any link or reference to where this is to be input in either "publish" or Producer...anyone else have any ideas?

The Version number is entered in iBA 2.0 when using the Export or the Publish command.
The "What's New in Version" Info is entered in the iTunes Producer (2.8). Tha box will only be displayed if the .ibook file from the iBA export includes a version number higher than 1.0.
In the iBookstore, that information is listed in the Details tab of the book
Thole version procedure is nicely implemented, the way it should be from the beginning. However there are still some bugs and strange behavior. I have some issues with error messages that I'm trying to solve with the help of the customer support. Amazing that you can call now and get someone on the phone right away.
Monday - Friday, from 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (PST) at 1(877)-206-2092. (this is only for the publishing part, not for iBA trouble shooting)Hope that helpsEdgar Rothermich

Thanks Edgar, that "What's New in Version" box is not showing up despite designating that this is an update to a current book and assigning a new Version number (1.1 or 2.0, for example). Now two updates are being held in review.
