It seems that Apple has improved  the Review procedure for updated books.

Now  on the iTunes Connect Website ("Manage Your Books" link),  you  can see the green button for the current version that is online and an orange button if you delivered an updated version that is currently in Review (with the submitted version number).

Now you can push an update of your book without risking that it is taken offline during the review process.

Now it is much more transparent than before. It seems that the terrible situations we had at the beginning of the year are improving with better support. Although, there are still bugs and hiccups to be eliminated.

Hope that helps

Sorry my glass is forever half full.

The "new" review sytem is  to cater for the change to updates. Now  they show the  submitted update is in review and awaits action.... so far I have waited over 2 weeks for my last update to either  be accepted of ticketted.

To me, its yet another  delay loop be the review team.

Only time will tell if  the system  is better/faster... and my money says it will not get faster.

I notice a book  has a 1.2 update pending.. was 1.1 reviewed and passed onto the store in a less than the  two weeks I have waited so far?
