iTunesTheir help pages are still saying spam@me.com! Try spam@icloud.com and see what happens (and please tell us).

Sep 18, 2012 3:02 PM in response to Roger Wilmut1by InspiredReflections,I wondered about that too, Roger. Thanks for suggesting it. I sent a test email and it didn't bounce, but I have no way to know if I am actually reporting spam or not.
I really wish that Apple had not eliminated the "bounce" feature. I used it to control spam. I like MAIL, but it could really use some improvements regarding spam. Thanks for your help.

Nov 23, 2012 2:31 AM in response to Roger Wilmut1by steffenc,Forwarding to spam@me.com results in an "over quota" bounce from the postmaster; since today for me. I also tried spam@icloud.com, but get the same.

Nov 23, 2012 2:37 AM in response to steffencby Roger Wilmut1,Their Help page:
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4019
still says the same thing. You could try sending feedback to alert them:

Nov 24, 2012 5:19 AM in response to Roger Wilmut1by Stan Fisher,I'm also getting the "over quota" message when I report spam I've begun receiving from a bogus YouTube site; I never was aware that there was a quota to the amount of spam one can report, so I wonder if there's something embedded in the spam itself that's causing the postmaster to bounce it back.

Nov 24, 2012 6:56 AM in response to InspiredReflectionsby bjay25,Same here, over quota message from postmaster@mac.com. Today, basically the same spam came in; same results when sending the message as an attachment to spam@me.com. However, I do have a SpamCop account and both spams were sent and processed there.
Today I tried just Forwarding one spam to spam@me.com with a message about the bouncing and the data derived from SpamCop. That email was not immediately bounced like the Forward as Attachment emails.

Nov 24, 2012 8:18 AM in response to bjay25by Stan Fisher,Using your approach, I tried forwarding the spam with a note attached, and it was immediately returned as over quota. then I tried sending a simple email with a note about the problem we are having, and it was immediately returned as over quota.

Nov 24, 2012 8:36 AM in response to Stan Fisherby bjay25,Stan, I presume you 'attached' the note... mine was just the spam email Forwarded with my written comments and the SpamCop data pasted above the spam email contents. No attachment.
So far, an hour and a half later, that email has not bounced back. Still, I'm uncertain whether the email is being read or acted upon.
This Discussion appears to be the only one with our particular issue - spam sent to Apple that is bounced back with an Over Quota error.

Nov 24, 2012 8:38 AM in response to Stan Fisherby pgonzalez,Same here - hope Apple sees this and addresses the issue

Nov 24, 2012 9:09 AM in response to bjay25by Stan Fisher,Yes, I sent the email as an attachment. I just now tried to simply forward the email and it was instantly returned. I think I may be blocked from reporting spam - unless I receive a different but of spam to try.

Nov 24, 2012 9:51 AM in response to Stan Fisherby Rick Ternosky,I also have this issue when fwding msgs from 3 "bogus" YouTube msgs today...but then I just got it on a spam msg from another sender, so it's doens't appear to be sender specific...

Nov 24, 2012 9:58 AM in response to Rick Ternoskyby Pondini,It seems the flood of reports have overwhelmed Apple's mailbox or servers. Note the message says it's the Apple mailbox that's over quota, not yours.
This has been reported to Apple in various forums. Hopefully, they'll sort this out soon.

Nov 24, 2012 10:17 AM in response to Pondiniby Stan Fisher,I never thought it was my mailbox that was over quota, and it seems difficult to imagine that Apple's server have been overwhelmed. Whatever the cause, as you say, the amount of chatter about this hopefully is attracting someone's attention.

Nov 24, 2012 10:44 AM in response to Stan Fisherby William Cutter,This spam issue is that this has been going on for at least a week or two. Apple still hasn't been able to stop the spam getting through.
I checked spam@icloud.com as well, that's also over quota. We'll see if the chatter grows about this issue.
