behazel is right, restore as new and then sync over your data verus restoring from a backup. Often times "Other" is corrupt data

if nothing else, use icloud to store your contacts.
then restore phone as new, and then sync back over your apps/pics/music and so on. sign in to icloud and bam theres your contacts.

Hey, try and get rid of some notes, messages, non useful contacts and other things like that. I've heard people are having a lot of problems when backing up with iCloud, so I usually do a back up on iTunes to the computer and if I change devices I have everything there on the new device from the privous backup.
Also delet photos albums that aren't really used at all.
Before deleting anything tranfers your purchases and back up your phone to the computer. You can then delete whatever you want, and If you want it back just restore it.
Also, long text messages are also a cause for it taking up so much space.
Hope this helps. :)

I got the answer off another thread I was reading. Just trying to spread it around now.
Now for me, I have about 6GB of music on mine. What I did was select music, Now Left swipe the All Music row and press delete. After that I opened up my phone on iTunes and synced it like normal. The other data was gone after that.
Hope this helps everyone!
