    You need to call your carrier and make sure they do not have an issue in your area, also, go to settings, general, reset, reset network settings.

    I called Service Provider and there is no issues in the service , the Cell was working fine for week and yesterday it started giving this problem.

     

    I did the rest Network settings it doent helped me , after that i again Restored the Iphone but no success.

    Im still facing problem.

    is it hardware isseus!

    if you have AT&T try removing the sim card, and carefully placing it back in. then restart the phone.

     

    sim card tray is on the right hand side, youll see a skinny rectangle next to a small hole. find something to put in the hole and the sim tray will pop out.

     

    sometimes the sim falls out of place.

    Hi,

    Im from India and We dont have AT&T , Im using Airtel .

    I removed and Sim card everthing but still there is problem.

    have you tried updating the software with itunes? or check for a carrier settings update settings>general>about  wait on that screen for a minute or so and if there is an update you should get an alert.

     

    try turning airplane mode on, then back off, and ofcourse press powr button on top of phone for 3-4 seconds and slide to power off, then back on.

     

     

    all else fails, call apple care.

    I updaed the software using Itunes , in carrier Settings it shows  carrier AirTel 13.0.

     

    I did turning Airplane Mode On / Off and also did power off and ON but problem is not resolved.

     

    I ahve never faced this problem earlier in Iphone 3 , 3gs and 4 . even I have Ipad but this kind of problem Im facing first time.

    Make an appointment with an apple genius bar or who you purchased the iphone from.
