I have the kit and know how to do this. It's just that I found that when I sent photos from my laptop, not an Apple Mac, I had to sync the two etc, then incentive photos were on iPad I could not work with them eg delete and put into folders etc, I wanted to know if this is different when you down load directly from camera to iPad. Thank you!!

You can delete photos that you copy to the iPad via the kit directly on the iPad, and (assuming that your iPad is on iOS 5+) you can copy them into new albums that you've created directly on the iPad (which you can also do with synced photos as well). With the new albums you are effectively just creating pointers to the photos not copying them into those albums, so if then delete a camera kit photo then you will also be deleting all pointers to it

Thanks so much. Will try tomorrow.
Essentially you are saying:
Take photos with camera
Connect camera to iPad
Download photos from camera to iPad
Do the pictures go to camera roll?
Say one has 100 photos downloaded
Create for eg 10 albums which you can name
Select photos from 100 , and put into whichever album
Does this sound like what one can do:)
Do I have it correct?
Thank you so much!

You want more control of your photos:
1. Transfer all photos to Camera Roll with your Camera Connect Kit either direct with cable or SD Card
2. Install Photo Manager Pro on iPad
3. Create folders in Photo Manager Pro
4. Import photos into folders in Photo Manager Pro
5. Drag (arrange) your photos to any position you like
6. Once everthing is in order, you can delete the photos in Camera Roll

I really appreciate that!
I have just purchased your recommended app. It looks great!
Is there any way I can use this to access my photos from my laptop , without using itunes??
And the whole syncing story....
Once I have my folders on the laptop with photos in them, can I somehow transfer to this app?? And then work with them there.....
As opposed to when using the syncing story where one can do nothing on the iPad after transferring them??
With thanks, Jill
