I was trying to run an online educational site that I've used many times before, but it was over 6 months ago. At first, I got the spinning ball, then I got a notice that Adobe Flash Player crashed. The next time I tried to run it, I got a message that I need to update a plugin. The only plugin listed would be is Java 7, which I cannot use because I am running 10.6.8, and it Java 7 requires Lion. But, I think the real problem is the Flash Player not being compatible.

I know I've downloaded Adobe Flash player many times before, and a few months ago, it showed to be up to date. It is 11.1.4.02.287

I did a search for Player and it shows up but, I cannot even see where the Flash player is located on my hard drive.

I've had problems with Flash for years, and I don't know what to do!

Since I'm trying to use an educational website, I don't think I have the option of trying to use a more compatible Player, because the web site is asking for Flash Player. Help!

11.5.502.110 is the latest version of Flash Player - you can get it at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/.

Try installing the latest version - or the latest version that's compatible with Snow Leopard, anyway.

You should be able to access the Flash player settings through the Preference Pane under System Preferences. You should be able to check for updates using that Preference Pane. It's just an Internet Plugin, not an app, and it should be in your Internel Plugins folder.
