iTunes Store: Which types of items can I buy in my country?

Are you using iBooks 2 or 3?

I can't find it in the UK either. Maybe it's just a US only feature?

Textbooks haven't been added to all countries yet, so you won't be able to get that book from the ibookstore.  You can try requesting that it be added to the Singapore store, but it will need Apple to make the textbook category available there and for the book publisher to grant Apple a license to sell those books there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

That's so misleading: the UK does have them!

Tap the 'More' button on the header in iBooks > Store > Books and see what appears - ALL of the categories that were mentioned ARE there in the UK!

Some options on some things appear to be controlled by 'Restrictions' though: also user controllable what's visible.

Oh yeah, found them. I looked at Top Charts.

You might find that you provide MORE support IF you're clear of the facts BEFORE you post rather than AFTER someone points out YOUR error!

No worries, but there are several other threads with your  'inaccuracies' which provide misleading information and advice, I've found.....if you look.....

'Scatter-guns' may not deal with all and do not deal with specific targets, don't you find?

Look. I thought points were good at start, but I realise I have to work hard and help people to get them.

Well, 'accuracy' in your responses will help PEOPLE most.  If you're GENUINELY interested in helping PEOPLE then concentrate on 'accuracy' (and not conjecture or poor-quality or sloppy understanding or research) in your responses and forget about 'points' because 'points' will follow naturally to help YOU when you REALLY help PEOPLE!  

Double- or triple-checking helps often to avoid misleading, disappointing or time-wasting responses....and helps genuinely with 'support'....
