I assume that you powered-down all of your networking equipment before disconnecting or reconnecting any cables ... correct?
If so, I would recommend that you perform a complete power recycle of your networking equipment to see if this gets them working again.

Well, after having done what you suggested I had to call in a technician because it did not solve the problem. It took three hours to have the Extreme running again but does not extend to the Express. This one is now shared and therefore useless.
We could not manage to set up a new network either.
Hope to find out some day the reason why.

It has a 1 year warranty. make a genius bar appt and take it into your nearest apple store. If it really is defective they will replace it on the spot.

Well, living in Cyprus, an island in the Mediterranean Sea, we don't have a Genius Bar:-(
