I am currently using a pc running windows 7, but since I am switching to a mac, I would like to copy my entire windows install to a bootcamp partition on the mac. Can I just create a windows 7 backup of my pc on an external hard drive and then plug the hard drive into my mac (running windows 7) and tell windows 7 to backup from the external drive? It would an easy way to move all files from my pc, but will it work?
I have two windows 7 licenses, one for the mac and for the pc, so that won't be a problem.

MacBook, Windows 7
