Q: I figured out what PART of the problem was.  I was trying to backup the external TO the external!!!  Now that I figured THAT out, I am getting a "permission denied" message that pops up.  What now???

Using Disc Utility, I am getting a "permission denied" message that pops up.  Any suggestions?

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.5)
