I have a Macbook thats supposed to work on 64bits. I´m trying to test the situation before setting it as default to see if everything runs ok. I read that you can boot pressing the keys 4 and 6 and it will boot in 64 bits. I tried that but its not working.

    Cheers

That command only worked with a short list of very specific Mac models. I don't remember which models were on that list, but more than likely, yours was not on the list. SInce you haven't provided the model of your MacBook, i.e., MacBokk 4.1, I doubt that anyone will be able to provide any more help.

That model has a 32 bit EFI. It can run 64 bit apps, but cannot boot 64 bit.

Not sure why you wanted to do the 64 bit boot, but in the long run, your MacBook 2.1 can be upgraded to Lion, but not Mountain Lion.
