The test didn't help any either. just a confirmation that apple products doesn't work well with anything that is not a mac i'm afraid. according to the test everything was ok.

It could be an indication or a damaged or dying hard drive. I would recommend doing a disk diagnostic on the iPod's HD using the instructions given by turingtest2 in this older thread. He also covers what the resulting numbers indicate.
If necessary, post the resulting numbers and we can decide what your best course of action would be from there.
