Nov 18, 2012 12:44 PM in response to JannieRatkeby Vanharlingen,I had the same problem as most with my IPad 2. I tried all the fixes that I had found on YouTube but then it only worked sometimes. I finally went into setting and re-set all of my settings. It fixed the problem. I learned from this experience that before I upgrade again is to check here to see if anyone else is having problems.

Nov 20, 2012 5:43 PM in response to emigrisby Vanharlingen,If you have downloaded IOS6 and still not working right try going to your settings and select reset on all of them. I don't have a store close to me either but I figured I couldn't do any worse than the way it was. Also try YouTube for information too. That's where I started.

Nov 20, 2012 8:35 PM in response to JannieRatkeby jesjasr,Never had a iphone before.
Literally bought the iphone 4 today, only 3 hours ago.
Came home and sync iphone to itunes to add apps, music, etc.
Was prompted to update my iphone with the latest software
Attempted to listen to my first app, PANDORA and notice that no music was playing through the iphone's speakers but was successfully playing through headphone.Noticed volume button does not work and volume control icon does not indicate volume going up or down/no volume bar/slide/whatever.
I guess I have to use my ugly, out-dated LG LOTUS to wake me up tomorrow for work for I do not know if my new iphone will alert me.
I am so very sad because this was a birthday gift to myself. I was happy to finally be apart of the modern age of cellphones. I've had my ugly flip phone for many years. Never had a data plan, never had a cool phone.
BUT THIS IS NOT COOL AT ALL. I will be more sad if I had to go to Apple to get another new phone.
APPLE, please recognize this issue and take action!

Nov 26, 2012 11:36 AM in response to JannieRatkeby mbkerk,I am also having sound issues since upgrading my iPhone 4s to 6.0.1. My sounds work, but I cannot get the volume I could before the upgrade. I use the "old phone" sound for my ringer, and it is about 1/2 as loud as it used to be... I work in a very noisy environment and do not always hear the ringer.
Hope there is a fix for this on the way...

Nov 26, 2012 11:59 AM in response to JannieRatkeby kathacruz,I started noticing less volume when I was making facetime calls, and now I also have a screechy sound when playing music, alert sounds even the autocorrect voice... I reseted all settings, reseted the phone... nothing... I am going to apple today... will see... I have only had the phone for 8 months, I hope this is covered by the warranty. Any ideas?

Nov 26, 2012 2:16 PM in response to kathacruzby Greggray,I got mine working. I blew into the dock opening and it started working again. Must have been some dust or something shorting the connector out to think the iPad was docked. If you do this, just be sure not to spit inside and set off the water sensor .

Nov 28, 2012 10:00 PM in response to JannieRatkeby mbkerk,I spent about 2 hours online with tech support yesterday taking my phone back to the way it was when Verizon shipped it to me. I did learn a lot... and when I restored it as a new phone the sound was back to normal volumes. The tech wanted me to leave it that way, fearing that if I restored it to my last back up (right before I restored the phone) I would re-load whatever issue was causing the probem in the first place.
I wanted all of my old apps, text messages, and phone messages back, as well as notes, alarms, etc all back, so I did restore the phone to my last backup and everything seemed OK at first. Then, I docked it with my stereo system in my truck, and now the low volume issue is back.
There is a bug somewhere that they need to get sorted out.
